This game was played in horrible weather. Freezing rain came down for the whole game and both teams had difficulty moving the ball, as indicated by the score. The Michigan Stadium crowd abandoned the game in droves, and the second half of the game was played before a nearly empty stadium. I remember moving to the 50-yard line to watch the second half. Since only a few thousand people remained. the stadium security didn't try to keep anyone in their original seats.
