The Spartans season came to complete meltdown against the
Wolverines. After an early field goal to take the lead, Michigan State
was unable to produce any more points. The Wolverines dominated on
both offense and defense.

2004 at Ann Arbor:
Michigan 45, Michigan State 37 (3OT)
Michigan won with a stunning comeback. Trailing
27-10 with 8:43 left in the game, Michigan scored 17 points to send the game
to overtime. Braylon Edwards caught three touchdown passes,
including the game-winner in the third overtime period.
Quarterback Chad Henne passed for 273 yards and a career-high four
touchdowns. Edwards had 11 catches for 189 yards and a
career-high three touchdowns. Michael Hart also scored a touchdown
rushed for 224 yards, becoming the first player in Michigan history to rush
for 200 yards in three consecutive games.
